Doctors of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug preserved an important organ for a resident that they wanted to remove in Israel

In Noyabrsk (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug), doctors operated on a patient with a cyst, preserving her spleen, which doctors in Israel wanted to remove. This was reported in the telegram channel of the Yamal Department of Health.

“At a medical consultation in Noyabrsk, specialists decided to operate on the patient and do everything possible to save her important organ. An operation plan was drawn up. Thus, through small incisions, the girl had a cyst measuring 7 cm removed, while the functions of the spleen remained completely preserved,” the report says.

Previously, the northerner consulted doctors in Israel, where she was offered to remove the organ along with the tumor. The woman turned to the Noyabrsk city hospital with a question about preserving her spleen. The complex operation was performed by local surgeons. The patient is now fine and at home.
