Dmitry Strezhnev sold the Ural car plant to management – Kommersant

Dmitry Strezhnev sold the assets of the Ural automobile plant (Miass, Chelyabinsk region) to the management of the enterprise, Interfax reports citing a source. The press service of the plant confirmed the fact of the transaction. On December 17, 2022, the company came under EU sanctions.

The interlocutor of the agency specified that Mr. Strezhnev will continue to work on the strategic development of enterprises in the segments of road construction, agricultural machinery and components. However, according to the source, the entrepreneur intends to concentrate on “new international projects in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, not related to mechanical engineering.”

According to Interfax, the manufacturer of heavy trucks and special equipment Ural was transferred to Dmitry Strezhnev’s United Machine-Building Group in March 2020.
