Documentary film director, actress Lyudmila Tsvetkova passed away. She was 79 years old. Published this information website Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

Lyudmila Tsvetkova was born on October 31, 1944. She began her career as an actress. She worked with directors Eldar Ryazanov, Pyotr Todorovsky, Marlen Khutsiev and others. She starred in the films “Garage”, “Afonya”, “Seven Old Men and One Girl”, “The Road to Myself” and others. In 1996, she began making films on her own. The most famous works were “Beauty Lives Here”, “True Gift” and a series of films “Witnesses of the Epoch” about the heroes of the war and labor of the Great Patriotic War. Tsvetkova has gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation, badge of honor of Roszarubezhtsentr under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and other awards. She is also an honorary worker of arts of the city of Moscow, an academician of the European Academy of TV and Radio and an honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Arts.

The Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation expressed deep condolences to the family and friends of Tsvetkova.
