Pediatrician Kashlyak named six types of tea useful for diabetics
People with diabetes can improve their condition by drinking the right kind of tea. Olga Kashlyak, a pediatrician and expert at the Dia Talks project lecture hall for diabetics, spoke about this.
According to the physician, first of all, people with diabetes should drink green tea. This drink can slightly lower blood sugar levels and also reduces the chance of developing the disease.
“Note that all studies feature the average amount of tea drinking required to observe beneficial effects, which is three to four tea cups,” Kashlyak said in an interview with “Gazeta.ru”.
Diabetics often have high blood pressure. Hibiscus tea will help reduce it, which should be consumed twice a day for 240 milliliters for a month. Hibiscus also helps reduce insulin resistance.
Melissa tea and chamomile tea are next on the list. The first drink is able to stimulate the absorption of glucose, and the second is able to optimize blood sugar control. Kashlyak also advised diabetics to drink tea with cinnamon or turmeric.
