Deputy Minister of Defense of South Ossetia fired for financial violations

Deputy head of the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev was dismissed from his post, the press service of the department reported on May 23 following the results of the audit.

“In the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of South Ossetia, an intradepartmental unscheduled audit of financial and economic activities was carried out, during which serious violations were revealed in the financial service. According to the results of the audit, Alan Grigorievich Gagloev, Deputy Minister of Defense for Financial and Economic Work, Head of the Financial Department of the Armed Forces, was relieved of his post and dismissed from military service, — specified in the ministry.

The materials of the check were transferred to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic to resolve the issue of initiating a criminal case.
