In the Voronezh and Belgorod regions, the educational project of the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation is gaining momentum Sergei Gavrilovwithin which young people visit industries, museums related to activities within various professions and branches of science, cultural and educational institutions.

Students of the Evstratovskaya secondary school and Rossoshanskaya secondary school No. 9 visited the workshops of the Voronezh aircraft plant and local museums. Previously, similar trips were made by students of universities in Belgorod, high school students of Kashirsky, Semiluksky, Ostrogozhsky and other rural areas.

Treating people is a noble cause

The first on the list was the Museum Complex of the Voronezh Medical University, where schoolchildren were able to get acquainted with the list of some rare medicinal plants. They examined the exhibits, which were placed in a special solution – its unique composition was developed by the staff and students of the university itself.

An employee of the university told the children about how to become a student of a medical university. With great interest, they viewed the exposition of the recently opened auditorium, which houses medical equipment and exhibits that tell about the struggle of our doctors with the disease during the recent COVID-19 epidemic.

University staff told the people of Rossosh about the amazing world of scientific and engineering thought, the world of brilliant discoveries and inventions. The exhibits of the Museum of Space Biology and Medicine made a strong impression on the children. They learned about the origin of rocket science, got acquainted with the biographies of fellow cosmonauts and scientists.

Rural schoolchildren saw real space suits and food for astronauts, learned what special space equipment is for and how space explorers use it. The guys had no idea what a gigantic work of doctors, engineers, designers is needed for a person to break away from the Earth and conquer the expanses of the Universe.

Mikhail Frolova 11th grade student of the Rossosh school, commented on the trip:

“I was especially interested in the Museum of Cosmonautics. I did not know some facts of the biography of our fellow cosmonauts. There are very interesting exhibits. And the Museum of the History of Medicine was also impressive. Next year I’m going to enter the medical university. My grandparents and parents are doctors. And I want to continue this tradition. After all, the profession of a doctor is one of the most important and necessary. Helping people, saving human lives is the thing I want to dedicate my life to.”

student of the same school Alina Sokolova also shared her experience:

“Today I study chemistry, biology and physics in depth, because I plan to enter the Faculty of General Medicine. I have been interested in medicine since childhood. Today I am convinced once again that my choice is the right one. A lot of impressions. And all are bright. So many new interesting facts, so many new discoveries!

Personnel decides everything

After the Museum of Space Biology, young Rossoshans went to the Voronezh Aviation Plant. Here the group was met by the director of the Museum of Military and Labor Glory Svetlana Gavrilova. She introduced the children to the glorious heroic history of the Voronezh Aircraft Plant, which is inextricably linked with the history of our country. The contribution of Voronezh aircraft manufacturers to the Great Victory cannot be overestimated. During the years of the Great Patriotic War, they produced more than 36,000 Il-2 aircraft – attack aircraft, from which the fascist hordes trembled.

There are no trifles in such high-tech production. But the most important thing is to preserve and increase the human resources potential. After all, the main value of the aviation industry is the people working in it, and these are narrow professionals.

In the meantime, in April, the Russian industry recorded the largest labor shortage in 30 years. To ensure technological sovereignty, enterprises need not just qualified personnel, but people with fundamentally new competencies.

“One of the measures to attract personnel to the industry, and especially young people, is industrial tourism, an unobtrusive career guidance that allows schoolchildren to get acquainted with production. And acquaintance with the history of the medical university, the aircraft factory is also a powerful injection of patriotism. The guys felt like descendants of the citizens of a great country. A country that gave birth to the most talented scientists, engineers, pilots, cosmonauts and true patriots,” the State Duma deputy believes Sergei Gavrilov.

Formerly Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Nikita Chaplin expressed the opinion that targeted training will connect future specialists and representatives of enterprises, will solve the problem of shortage of personnel and unemployment.
