DenizBank changed the controlling legal entity of its Russian subsidiary


    The owner of a controlling stake in Denizbank Moscow has changed, now it is not the Austrian Denizbank AG, but the Turkish Denizbank AS This follows from the information about the shareholders on the website of the Moscow bank.

    As follows from the document, in which (.pdf) information about the shareholders of the bank is registered, until April 51% of its shares were owned by the Austrian Denizbank AG, another 49% belonged to the Turkish Denizbank AS At the end of March, the controlling stake passed to Denizbank AS, 49% was owned by Denizbank AG. Attention was drawn to the change in the ownership structure Interfax.

    Denizbank Moscow is part of the Turkish DenizBank group. At the end of 2021, it took 121st place in the Interfax-100! with assets of 25.4 billion rubles.

    Until mid-2019, Turkish Denizbank belonged to Sberbank. Then, due to sanctions restrictions, the Russian bank sold the asset to the UAE bank Emirates NBD.
