The new apps name ‘Himmat Plus’, a message can be sent to the Police Headquarters in case of emergency, which will know the actual status of the driver or rider.
A new app has launched for the benefit of cab passengers, the app called Himmat Plus. The ‘Himmat Plus’ app was launched on Monday at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Officials said that through this app, “a message can be sent to the Police Headquarters in an emergency, which will know the actual position of the driver or rider and will be sent to a PCR van to provide immediate assistance.”
Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik said that the main mission of the department is to ensure the safety of the public. He said that with the use of technology, Delhi Police will be able to take swift action in an emergency.
DCP Sanjay Bhatia and Uber India and South Asia Head Prabhjeet Singh said that the objective of this initiative is to give more security to people and especially women. He says that Uber tries its best to ensure that its passengers do not face any kind of trouble, but with the help of Delhi Police, the passengers are now more secure.
