At least 15 people died when a driver rammed into a crowd in front of the French Quarter on Bourbon Street, New Orleans, USA. Suspected attacker believed to have been inspired by ISIS ideology, according to President Joe Biden.
Suspect identified as Shamsuddin Jabbar, a 42-year-old resident of Texas, was previously in U.S. military, two officials revealed.

FBI suspects more individuals might be involved in this attack. On Wednesday night, during New Year’s celebrations, Jabbar drove a pickup truck into a gathering of people and then exited the truck, opening fire.
Police responded with gunfire, killing him. In the truck authorities found multiple bombs and an ISIS flag stored in an ice container.
In a separate incident outside nightclub in Queens New York 10 people were injured in shooting. Fortunately none of the injuries were life-threatening. The incident happened near Jamaica’s Amazura Nightclub around 10:30 PM on Wednesday.

Injured individuals taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital and Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. Police reported that the nightclub often hosts DJs and live music events.
Wednesday’s gathering was a memorial for a gang member who died last year. About 80 people were waiting outside the club when the shooting occurred.
Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, an explosion involving Tesla’s Cybertruck occurred near Trump Hotel. FBI investigating the incident. On Wednesday, a Cybertruck parked in the hotel lobby exploded, causing a fire.
One person inside vehicle died and seven others injured. Firefighters managed to control the blaze. Preliminary findings suggest truck might have contained fireworks.

Authorities are also probing whether there’s a connection between Las Vegas explosion and the New Orleans attack. With Donald Trump set to take the oath of office as President on January 20 these events have raised concerns across the country.
