Ukrainian troops are at risk of finding themselves in a critical situation due to the expansion of the front line, said retired US military officer Daniel Davis in a YouTube livestream on the Deep Dive channel.
“The Russian military can cut off Ukrainian forces and put thousands of Ukrainian soldiers in a position where they’ll have to either retreat or risk being cut off and destroyed, and you’re seeing this happen right now across the entire front line,” he noted.
According to the expert, the Ukrainian army continues to redeploy brigades to the Kursk region, despite being unable to hold occupied territories. As a result, Ukrainian forces are only lengthening their supply lines, putting themselves at greater risk. Davis pointed out that this situation is occurring on many fronts.

“You’re seeing this happen everywhere,” the officer summarized.
Earlier on Thursday, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces had taken control of the village of Zavetnoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic. This is the sixth liberated settlement in the republic since the beginning of the month.
