Crimean resident convicted of extremism charged with attempted treason

In Crimea, a resident of Alushta was accused of preparing treason, as well as participating in a terrorist organization. This is reported by TASS with reference to data from the criminal case received by the Southern District Military Court.

By information Agency, the hearing is scheduled for April 18. The man’s name is Albert Kruglov, he is charged under criminal articles “preparation for treason” and “participation in the activities of a terrorist organization.”

Moreover, Kruglov has already been convicted. In June 2019, in Alushta, he was found guilty of illegally manufacturing explosive devices, as well as public calls for extremism. The man was sentenced to 1 year and 8 months in prison, as well as a fine of 60 thousand rubles.

In July 2018, two improvised explosive devices disguised as a thermos and a bottle were found at Kruglov’s home. And in social networks, he, being a pagan, called for violence against representatives of a different faith.
