Court in Moscow extends arrest of narcologist Bryun and his colleague in fraud case

By the decision of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow, house arrest for the former chief freelance psychiatrist-narcologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Bryun and his colleague Vladimir Yakushev was extended until February 3, 2023 in the case of multimillion embezzlement. Recall that the narcologist Bryun and his colleague Yakushev, who holds the post of deputy head of the Association of Narcologists of Russia, were accused of embezzling 20 million rubles from the capital’s depzdrav. According to the investigation, the defendants withdrew this amount through affiliated companies by delivering them at significantly inflated prices to the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Narcology DZM. They were charged with grand fraud.
