Consulate of Russia finds out the details of the arrest of Russians in Goa in the case of drug trafficking

The Russian consulate in Mumbai said it was in contact with the “competent authorities” in the state of Goa in connection with the arrest of two Russians, including 58-year-old swimmer Svetlana Varganova. The details of what happened to the consulate are unknown.

The Indian Express wrote that drugs were confiscated from the detainees – LSD, cocaine, methamphetamine, charas, hydroponics, hash oil – as well as the proceeds from their sale in various currencies. According to the newspaper, all the detainees were part of the “international drug cartel”, “the main person” in which was a Russian citizen.
