The Congress on Wednesday accused Preneet Kaur, wife of former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, of indulging in anti-party activities. The party has given seven days to clarify its stand on the issue of Amarinder Singh’s exit and his future plans.
The party in-charge of Punjab and Chandigarh, Harish Chaudhary wrote to the Lok Sabha MP, “For the past several days, we are continuously getting reports from Congress workers, MLAs, Patiala leaders and media about your anti-party activities. This information and news then. Coming from the time your husband Captain Amarinder Singh has resigned from the party. And formed his own party named Punjab Lok Congress. We are also apprised of your open announcements in the media along with your husband’s party.”
