Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny said that he had a telephone conversation with Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces. Among other things, Mr. Zaluzhny spoke about the plans of the Ukrainian army for a counteroffensive.
“We paid attention to the issue of the supply of weapons, military equipment and ammunition. Among the priority needs are long-range shells,” Valery Zaluzhny wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine added that Mark Milli was informed about the massive attacks by missiles and drones on the territory of Ukraine. Valery Zaluzhny, in this regard, asked for the strengthening of the air defense system and the supply of F-16s.
Valery Zaluzhny and Mark Milli have been regularly on the phone since the beginning of the Russian special military operation. The last time Mr. Zaluzhny reported on negotiations with Mr. Milli was on May 19. Then the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke “about the situation in the main directions of the front.”
