Russian special operation in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are attacking Russian oil depots in order to deprive the Russian army of fuel, and hence the ability to move. Military expert, retired colonel Mikhail Timoshenko told about this in an interview with URA.RU.

“[Можно нанести дронами серьезные повреждения по нефтебазам], because there is a rather thin-walled container that contains fuel: solarium, gasoline, oils. If you burn the contents of the tanks, you will make it impossible for the enemy to move. If these are our oil depots, and if they are set on fire or blown up, then we are deprived of the opportunity to move until we bring fuel somewhere and organize storage there,” Mikhail Timoshenko explained.

The head of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced on May 11 about attacks by Ukrainian drones on the Klintsovsk oil depot. On May 14, the attacks were repeated. Two shells were dropped on the oil depot from Ukrainian drones. Earlier, the head of the Bureau of Military-Political Analysis, military analyst Alexander Mikhailov, noted in a conversation with URA.RU that with the help of drones, Ukraine can create the illusion of successful attacks on Russian territories. In particular, inflict demonstrative damage to infrastructure, such as oil depots, in order to create a “beautiful picture” for social networks or instant messengers.
