The highest court in the Colombian department of Magdalena placed President Ivan Duque under house arrest for two days. The reason was the non-execution of the court decision, writes the newspaper El Tiempo.
According to the publication, the president ignored the court decision of 2020, according to which the authorities had to create and implement an action plan to mark the 500th anniversary of the city of Santa Marta. Duque was also fined.
