Class 7 student beaten to death by teacher in Rajasthan

A teacher thrashed his student to death in Churu district of Rajasthan on Wednesday. It is being told that in a private school, a student of class 7 had not completed his homework, due to which the teacher got angry and beat him fiercely. The accused teacher has been arrested.

Expressing grief over the incident, Education Minister Govind Dotasara has ordered the authorities to suspend the recognition of the school. SHO of Salasar police station Sandeep Vishnoi said that 13-year-old Ganesh was a class 7 student in a private school and was badly beaten up by the teacher for not completing his homework.

The child was rushed to the hospital in an unconscious state, where doctors declared him brought dead, a police officer said. The accused teacher Manoj (35) has been taken into custody and arrest will be made, he said. A case has been registered against the accused.

Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara said that the sad news was received about the death of a Class VII child due to thrashing of a private school teacher in Kolasar village. Police have started proper investigation by apprehending the accused teacher. Dotasara said that the authorities have been directed to suspend the recognition of the school till the matter is fully investigated.
