Christodoulidis leads the presidential elections in Cyprus

The CEC of Cyprus has already processed about 80% of the votes in the presidential elections in the country. According to preliminary results, the leader of the electoral race is currently Nikos Christodoulides. For the former Minister of Foreign Affairs voted 51.7% of voters who came to the polls.

His rival is the former Permanent Representative of Cyprus to the UN Andreas Mavroyannis won 48.3% of the votes.

Recall that the presidential elections in Cyprus are held in two stages. In the first round of voting, held on February 5, 32.04% of voters voted for Christodoulidis, and 29.59% for his rival Mavroyiannis.
