Chinese emissary Li Hui: Russia, Ukraine and the EU are aimed at a peaceful settlement of the crisis
Russia, Ukraine and the EU countries expressed their desire for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, the parties positively assessed the efforts of the PRC in this matter. This was stated by the representative of the Chinese government for the Eurasian region Li Hui.
“Everyone hopes for a peaceful settlement of the crisis,” the words of the Chinese envoy led TASS.
Li Hui visited Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany and Belgium during his European tour. In each country, he presented the main provisions of the peaceful settlement of the crisis in Ukraine, which were developed in China. He arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry on May 26. Li Hui held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the conversation lasted an hour and a half.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced the country’s commitment to resolving the conflict in Ukraine through political and diplomatic means. According to him, the obstacles to the resumption of peace talks are created by the Ukrainian authorities and their allies in the West. He also appreciated China’s readiness to play an important and positive role in resolving the crisis.
