China supported Russia after the decision of the UN Security Council not to adopt a resolution to investigate sabotage at Nord Stream. This was stated by the Deputy Ambassador of China to the UN.

“China regrets that the UN Security Council did not adopt a resolution to investigate sabotage at Nord Stream. The terrorist attack on Nord Stream affects security not only in Europe, but throughout the world, an investigation should be carried out as soon as possible, ”said the Chinese deputy representative.

The PRC hopes that the international investigation into the incident at the Nord Stream will take place. The results will be presented as soon as possible.

Previously, explosions on both strings of Nord Stream occurred on the night of September 26, 2022. On March 27, the UN Security Council did not support Russia’s resolution to investigate the Nord Stream bombing. Due to the position of Western countries, the resolution did not receive nine votes out of 15. If the document was adopted by the Security Council, the commission would investigate “all aspects of the act of sabotage on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, including the identification of perpetrators, sponsors, organizers and accomplices.
