346 Chinese citizens stuck at the border were taken by bus from Blagoveshchensk to Heihe along the international highway bridge over the Amur. About it reported Ministry of Transport of the Amur Region. 152 Russians went in the opposite direction – from Heihe to Blagoveshchensk.
According to the department, all 152 Russians who were ready to leave today, November 11, passed passport control in Heihe. Transportation by hovercraft continues through the mixed checkpoints Blagoveshchensk and Heihe.
“The removal of citizens is an emergency. During the off-season, Russian citizens are strongly advised to refrain from traveling to China unless absolutely necessary,” the Ministry of Transport added.
As tourists reported, problems with passenger transportation at the border arose on November 3: a ship from Blagoveshchensk was unable to land on the Chinese coast due to ice. Later, the Amur region authorities announced the suspension of transportation due to the hydrological situation.
