Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexei Teksler, while in Astana, suggested that Kazakhstan restore the tradition of annual mutual visits. This was reported to URA.RU on May 15 in the press service of the head of the region.
“At the end of his visit to Kazakhstan, Alexei Teksler proposed to restore the tradition of annual mutual visits, interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. He invited a delegation from the Kostanay region to visit Chelyabinsk in September,” the governor’s press service told URA.RU.
The governor added that thanks to the implementation of projects such as the North-South and Eastern Corridor, the volume of cargo transportation is increasing. In the Chelyabinsk region, the reconstruction of the road to the border with Kazakhstan and the automobile border checkpoint “Bugristoye” is underway.
Texler stressed the interest of the Chelyabinsk business in cooperation with partners from Kazakhstan. Currently, there are a number of programs for the localization of production in Kazakhstan. He also turned to the akim of the Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov with a proposal to support investment projects.
Texler arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit on May 15 at the head of a regional delegation. During the visit, he met with the Prime Minister of the Republic Alikhan Smailov.
