Checkpoints to be strengthened with personnel and equipment on the Crimean bridge

The number of personnel and the amount of necessary equipment will be increased on the Crimean bridge. These measures will be taken to improve the capacity at the entrance to the peninsula. The head of the Republic of Crimea told journalists about this on March 21 Sergei Aksenov.

According to him, by April 1, based on the analysis, conclusions will be made about how many people and how much equipment is still needed to improve the work of the vehicle inspection point.

“We can say that our colleagues from the FSB are already systematically ensuring security there, and in terms of the number of cars let through, we will solve this problem. Forces and means will be added”– said the head of the Crimea.

Aksyonov expressed hope that there would be no more such traffic jams in front of the Crimean bridge, as happened before, because of which people sometimes stood in line for several days, and comfortable conditions would be created for tourists.

As reported IA REGNUM, On March 12, 2023, a line about 3 km long formed in front of the Crimean bridge. The reason was technical damage at checkpoints.
