Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff announced the existence of three superpowers – the United States, China and Russia

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Mark Milley, said that there are at least three superpowers in the world – the United States, Russia and China. In his opinion, in the next few decades the world will face “very serious challenges and crises.”

“Now it is becoming more and more obvious that we are indeed in a multipolar international environment, where there are at least three superpowers – the United States, China and Russia,” Mark Milley said during a speech to graduates of the National Defense University (quoted by TASS).

Mark Milley noted that during the Cold War, the confrontation was between two superpowers – the USA and the USSR, and after the collapse of the USSR, the USA was the only superpower for some time. “Three is a lot harder than two,” he said. Mr. Milli added that the situation is complicated by the fact that some countries are starting to play a more serious role in their regions. In his opinion, in the future they can also claim the status of a superpower.
