CEH scientists find dangerous levels of cancer-causing BPA in Nike and Adidas clothing

Experts from the American Center for Environmental Health (CEH) have found dangerous substances in sports equipment of popular brands. About it informs CNN.

Adidas, Nike, Patagonia, Champion, Sweaty Betty, Athleta, Kohl’s and Fabletics have dangerous levels of Bisphenol A (BPA) in clothing. This is an industrial chemical that causes high blood pressure and also threatens heart disease, cancer, infertility and obesity.

“The dangers of BPA skin absorption have long been known. When you take one small dose of BPA orally and another dose through the skin, they form a large dose together. diabetes, behavioral problems and cancer.” noted immunology professor Ana Soto of the Tufts University School of Medicine.

The researchers sued the manufacturers because the clothes of the aforementioned retailers contain BPA levels at least 40 times the safe limit. Experts recommend taking off the sports equipment of these companies immediately after training.
