After the ceasefire, Hezbollah declared victory but stated their fighters remain ready for any Israeli attacks. Israel warned of severe consequences if Hezbollah violates the truce, as per Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister has urged the full withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon. However, many displaced residents returning home are met with destruction—homes reduced to rubble, with barely any structure remaining in most areas.
Similarly, Israelis returning to their war-torn regions face the same grim reality. Despite the ceasefire, tensions remain high. In its first statement post-ceasefire, Hezbollah claimed victory while reiterating readiness for further attacks if provoked.
Currently, Israeli troops continue aerial patrols in southern Lebanon, and a full withdrawal may take up to two months, according to IDF. Hagari warned of a swift response if the truce is broken and confirmed that surveillance in the region will continue.

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s government called for the removal of Israeli forces from all areas, stressing adherence to the ceasefire terms. UN Secretary-General António Guterres welcomed the ceasefire, calling it “a ray of light amidst the darkness in the Middle East.”
