Cardiologist Dupik called atypical symptoms of a heart attack

Knowing the symptoms is essential to early detection of a heart attack. About atypical signs of the disease in an interview with the publication “Vesti Podmoskovye” told Nikolai Dupik, Head of the Cardiology Department, Cardiologist of the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia.

“Among the symptoms of myocardial damage, patients may note a decrease in blood pressure, a significant change in heart rate, weakness, a sense of fear, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea,” the expert specified.

The specialist noted that in some cases, suffering from a heart attack may complain of discomfort in the neck, jaw, back and arms. The expert recalled that one of the most important signs of the disease is bursting pain in the chest, which lasts more than 10 minutes and does not stop after taking medication.

The cardiologist added that heartburn and nausea can talk about a heart attack. He concluded that with timely diagnosis, the likelihood of successful treatment of the disease increases.
