The vessel under the Cameroonian flag Lider Bulut, located in the port of Tuapse not far from the shore, lurched heavily on one side. This was reported on June 18 by RIA Novosti with reference to press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory.
Initially, videos about problems with the ship appeared on the Tuapse Telegram channel. One of the subscribers of the channel said that “according to the port, the ballast system of the ferry is faulty, it is at anchorage, troubleshooting“.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation reported more detailed information about the ship.
“A ship loaded with fruits and vegetables, a crew of 28 people. There was a malfunction in the ship’s ballast system. Visually, there is a list to starboard of more than 10 degrees“, the message says.
