Fire is still burning. Wildfire has taken a new turn spreading toward Brentwood and San Fernando Valley. Areas like Palisades, Eaton Canyon, Lydia Heights, and Archer still have uncontrolled flames.

In Palisades wildfire has spread across an additional 1,000 acres. Previously, it had already burned through 22,000 acres. California Fire Service reported that only 11% of the fire in Palisades is under control so far.

By Saturday, several lives were lost, and many are missing. Authorities fear death toll might rise. Over the past six days more than 40,000 acres have been reduced to ashes. Over 12,000 homes and structures have been completely destroyed and over 100,000 people have been displaced.
US National Weather Service predicts strong winds in Los Angeles and Ventura counties from Sunday night to Tuesday morning, with speeds reaching 30–70 miles per hour.
Due to the fire air quality in Los Angeles has reached unhealthy levels. Schools and colleges have been ordered to remain closed, and residents have been advised to stay indoors unless necessary and to wear masks when going outside.
