Britain cancels flight with migrants to Rwanda


The first flight with illegal migrants deported from the UK to Rwanda at the last moment after the decision of the European Court of Human Rights, ITV reports, citing sources in the British Ministry of the Interior.

It was expected that the Boeing 767-300 aircraft with seven migrants on board would fly from the city of Amesbury to Rwanda, but the ECHR called for a stop to the deportation of illegal migrants. Charitable organizations and human rights activists applied to the court with the corresponding demand.

As reported IA REGNUM, earlier British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss announced the sending of seven illegal migrants to Rwanda. At the same time, the expulsion of migrants could cost the British budget 500 thousand pounds sterling.
