Brent oil price rises to $96 for the first time in seven years

Moscow, 14 February. The exchange price of Brent oil for the first time in seven years soared to $96 per barrel. This is evidenced by the data of trading floors.

The last time such a price for black gold was recorded in October 2014. The cost of April futures increased by 0.9 percent, and March futures on the WTI exchange – by 1.8 percent. The head of Gazprom Neft, Alexander Dyukov, believes that such indicators correspond to the pre-crisis price level, writes RIA News.

“Different factors influence: market, political,” Dyukov explained the rise in prices.

Giorgi Okromchedlishvili, Portfolio Manager of Private Banking Bank Zenit, made a corresponding forecast on the dynamics of oil prices earlier. One of the factors, the expert called the tightening of the monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve.
