Russia does not leave its friends. This was stated by a member of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) from the Serbian people Milorad Dodik following a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

Dodik thanked the Russian leader for understanding the complex relations within BiH and expressed satisfaction that Russia knows about the sincere friendship on the part of the Republika Srpska (one of the two entities of BiH), which will never allow sanctions against Moscow.

“Russia does not leave its friends, and I was convinced of this again after a conversation with President Putin in St. Petersburg. All our projects that we agreed on earlier continue, and the price of gas remains the same until the end of the year, ”the politician wrote on Twitter.

In addition, the leader of the Bosnian Serbs announced a new meeting with the President of the Russian Federation in September of this year, during which it is planned to assess the progress of joint projects.

The day before, Dodik announced that Russian companies would build a gas pipeline and two power plants in the Republika Srpska.

According to the Dayton Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed in December 1995 in Paris, the state consists of two entities: the Muslim-Croat Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Republika Srpska and the Brcko District. At the same time, BiH has one of the most complex systems of power in the world, which takes into account the interests of three peoples: Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks.
