Head of European diplomacy Josep Borrell invited Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to hold talks in Brussels. He named August 18 as the date of the meeting.
“I invite Serbian President Vučić and Kosovo Prime Minister Kurti to Brussels on August 18 to discuss ways forward between Pristina and Belgrade,” the diplomat tweeted.
Relations between the two countries escalated at the end of July due to the demand of the unrecognized republic from August 1 to replace car numbers and personal documents issued in Serbia for Serbs living in the north of Kosovo. Subsequently, these measures were postponed until September 1.
The President of Serbia called the Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti “the new Zelensky”, who is trying to use the situation in the world. The Prime Minister of Kosovo accused Mr. Vučić of creating tension in the region.
