Borrell called for unconditional de-escalation of the situation in Kosovo

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, called for an immediate de-escalation of the conflict in Kosovo, calling the clashes shocking.

“The EU strongly condemns today’s shocking violence in Zvecan. Violent actions against the NATO KFOR contingent, the media, civilians and the police are absolutely unacceptable,” he wrote on Twitter.

Borrell considers it necessary to have a dialogue between the parties, and for this it is necessary “to start de-escalating the situation without any conditions.”
