Russian special operation in Ukraine
The White House is considering the possibility of recognizing the private military company (PMC) Wagner as a terrorist organization. This was reported by Bloomberg.
“Administration [президента США Джо] Biden is weighing whether to designate the Russian Wagner Group as a foreign terrorist organization,” writes Bloomberg, citing two people familiar with it. One of the interlocutors clarified that no final decision had been taken on this issue at the present time.
As the agency writes, by assigning the status of a terrorist structure to an organization, Washington gives itself the right to carry out criminal prosecution of persons belonging to this organization. Such a measure will also allow control of the international assets of the organization around the world. A corresponding request has been sent to the White House, the answer to which has not yet been received, according to Bloomberg.
