The department noted that these individuals disseminated false information about the decisions and policies of the Russian authorities. In addition, Varlamov (an individual recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) received support from foreign sources, and Chikov (an individual recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) created and distributed information materials of foreign agents.

The Ministry of Justice also included three more people and one organization in the list.
