BHU got a setback in the World University Rankings, even after spending crores of rupees, world-class credibility fell

The world-class reputation of this more than a hundred years old university has suffered a setback even after crores of rupees have been spent to upgrade BHU and enhance the facilities there in the recent few years. This year BHU has moved up from 1001 to 1200 in the QS World University Rankings. This ranking was released on the website of QS World late on Wednesday.

In the previous ranking, BHU was included in the range of 801 to 1000 universities. Earlier BHU was among the top 750 educational institutions in the world from 2015 to 2017. After falling from the 801-1000 number category after 2017, this year has come to the last category. This year the research of BHU was also affected by the corona epidemic, but even in such a situation, Delhi University, JNU etc. have been successful in making their place in the top 600. IIT-Mumbai-177, IIT-Delhi 185 and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore got 186th rank.

The QS Ranking is considered to be the largest assessment in the education and research world. The list of top 1000 universities and educational institutions is released every year. This assessment includes academic reputation, employer reputation, student-teacher ratio research, international teacher and student ratios.
