Bengal’s young footballer selected in FC Bayern Munich World Squad, CM Mamta said – proud moment for the country


Young Indian footballer Subho Paul has been selected for the World Squad by the selection club FC Bayern Munich. Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee has congratulated the young footballer of Howrah on social media.

Getting a chance to train and play in any club in Europe is the biggest dream for any budding footballer in India. If a player’s dream is fulfilled, then it would be a matter of pride for the whole country. Bengal’s young Subho Paul (Subho Paul selected Bayern Munich) has been selected by club FC Bayern Munich in the top-15 players. The 17-year-old Subho has been selected for the World Squad, which consists of 15 Under-19 players from 15 different countries.

654 players from 64 countries had applied
His selection also matters more because 654 players from 64 countries applied to be included in the 15 players. Subho and 14 others like him will be trained digitally by FC Bayern’s professional trainers to make them more accustomed to the European way of training. After training, a match between the world team and FC Bayern U19s will also be played in Munich.

Hailing from Howrah, West Bengal, Subho has performed brilliantly for Sudeva FC in the last few seasons. In the 2019-20 campaign, he scored 14 goals in 11 matches in the AIFF Youth League. Promotion to the senior team came soon after and Subho scored two important goals for Sudeva in his first I-League campaign against TRAI FC and Indian Arrows. He is considered to be the great footballer of the future.
