In St. Petersburg, on the basis of the Zarya boarding house, an observatory was organized for guests of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) who contracted the coronavirus, Governor Alexander Beglov said. According to him, in connection with the forum, 40 additional points for the selection of biomaterial will be opened in different parts of the city.
“For patients with COVID-19 and the provision of other medical care, the beds of the infectious and general somatic profile are reserved in 15 hospitals … As in the past year, an observatory for the infected has been organized on the basis of the Zarya boarding house. 25 specially deployed ambulance teams will be ready to help participants and guests of the forum,” Beglov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
As stated on the SPIEF website, all its participants, media representatives and staff must undergo PCR testing for COVID-19 a day before visiting the site “exclusively at the forum’s testing centers organized by Rospotrebnadzor or regional laboratories of Rospotrebnadzor.” Only representatives of the executive authorities of the regions can take tests in regional laboratories. Test results are uploaded to a special information system. SPIEF will take place on June 15–18.
