Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed to investigate the desecration of a monument to Soviet soldiers in Slovakia. This was reported on May 14 in the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Slovakia reported the desecration of a monument to soldiers of the Red Army in the city of Piešťany in western Slovakia. Unknown people put on the monument the sign of one of the banned Ukrainian national battalions.

Bastrykin instructed the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to establish all the circumstances of what happened in the framework of the criminal case.

On similar facts of desecration of monuments in Slovakia in March of this year, the Russian Investigative Committee initiated and is investigating criminal cases.
