Bastrykin demanded from the Chelyabinsk General Reshetnikov a report on the shallowing of the reserved lake

The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, demanded that the head of the Chelyabinsk Investigative Committee, Peter Reshetnikov, provide a report on the shallowing of the reserved lake Uvildy. According to the press service of the central office of the department, local residents complained about the situation with the lake.

“Appeals to the competent authorities from local residents who fear an environmental disaster did not bring any results. Bastrykin requested a report from Reshetnikov on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case, as well as on the prospects for completing its investigation, ”the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.

They noted that this year the level of the reservoir has already dropped by 1.5-2 meters. The quality of the water also leaves much to be desired: it is cloudy and an opaque suspension has formed in it. On the fact of shallowing in the TFR in the region, a criminal case was initiated.
