Bastrykin demanded a report on the causes of the destruction of the monument in Miass

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin demanded to provide him with the results of an audit on the situation with the “Monument on a mass grave” in Miass (Chelyabinsk region). Residents complained that the monument was being destroyed without proper care.

“In social networks, it is reported about the improper maintenance in Miass of the “Monument on the mass grave” on Revolution Square. The upper layers of the memorial are covered with cracks, the cladding and foundation are destroyed, but no one restores the monument. The head of the TFR instructed to report on the results of verification of information on the content of the monument, ”the press center of the TFR said in a statement.

The check on the content of the monument is carried out by the Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Chelyabinsk region. Bastrykin should be informed about its results by the head of the Chelyabinsk department, Pyotr Reshetnikov.
