Bandits who planned a terrorist attack at a railway station were eliminated in the Stavropol Territory


The bandits who planned to commit a terrorist act at one of the railway stations in the Stavropol Territory have been eliminated. This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee.

Residents of nearby houses on the territory of the Petrovsky farm in the Soviet urban district were evacuated to exclude possible victims. The intruders blocked in the house were asked to lay down their arms and surrender to the authorities. In response, they opened fire on law enforcement officers, after which they were neutralized.

“There are no casualties among law enforcement officers and victims among the civilian population. The necessary operational-search activities and investigative actions are being carried out at the site of the clash,” the message says.

Earlier, Life wrote that the FSB, together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained four members of the cell of the terrorist organization “Katiba tawhid wal-jihad” * in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk. The ringleaders and ordinary members of the cell recruited militants to Syria.

*The organization is banned in Russia by a court decision.
