Austrian Foreign Ministry hopes for a place for diplomacy in resolving the Ukrainian conflict

The time for diplomacy in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict has not yet come. This was stated by the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Alexander Schallenberg in an interview with the Standard newspaper.

The politician stressed that it would be “very dangerous to talk about Ukraine’s retreat for the sake of peace.” At the same time, a decision on the crisis situation cannot be made without Kyiv.

“I very much hope that a situation will arise again in which there will be a place for diplomacy. But we are not there yet,” Schallenberg told reporters.

Formerly sociologist, publicist and public figure Philip Grill expressed the opinion that the West is well aware of Kyiv’s inability to defeat Moscow. Foreign “friends” are sacrificing Ukraine only to inflict damage on Russia.
