Attempts by the Ukrainian military to regain their lost positions in the area of ​​the Nevsky and Serebryansky forestries were thwarted by Russian aviation and artillery, which attacked the positions of two brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced today, May 28, by TASS with reference to Alexander Savchuk, head of the press center of the Center group of troops.

“The nationalists of the 66th Mechanized Brigade and the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to regain their lost positions by carrying out attacks on the Nevsky sector and in the area of ​​​​Serebryansky forestry. As a result of an air strike and artillery fire from the Center grouping, the enemy suffered significant losses in personnel. – the agency quotes Savchuk’s words.

The head of the press center added that Su-34 fighter-bombers of the Center group bombed the enemy strongholds in the Serebryanka area, and the Solntsepek heavy flamethrower systems hit the places of accumulation of equipment and the strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“The crews of the Tor-M1 and Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile systems destroyed a HIMARS-type missile and unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Stremnaya and Chervonaya Dibrova,” Savchuk concluded.
