Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary General António Guterres may propose to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a ceasefire and abandonment of the south. Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the Ukrainian leader, spoke about this in an interview with one of the YouTube channels.

Negotiations between Zelensky, Erdogan and Guterres are to be held on August 18 in Lvov. Arestovich stressed that he was afraid even to reproduce the president’s response to such an initiative. According to him, the Ukrainian leader will refuse any peace proposal.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said earlier that the supply of weapons to Kyiv is the best investment in the security of Europe. The diplomat spoke about this after talks with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
