These days the trend of forming a WhatsApp group is also increasing rapidly. This is the reason that many times you are added to many WhatsApp groups without telling you and then the messages coming from these groups bother you. But do you know that WhatsApp has a feature that can protect you from being added to any WhatsApp group without knowing it?
WhatsApp users can protect themselves from unwanted groups and spam in a very easy way. This method is easy, but not many people know. Let’s not know how to do it:
- Step 1: Click on the button in the top right corner
- Step 2: After this a pop-up menu
- Step 3: Click on the option of ‘Settings‘
- Step 4: After clicking on the option of ‘Account‘
- Step 5: Click on the option of ‘Privacy‘
- Step 6: Click on the option of ‘Groups‘
Which will have the option of the group, which has the option of default Everyone.
This means that anyone can add you to the WhatsApp group and that too without your approval. When you click on the option of the group, a page will open in front of you, where Who can add me to groups will be written, for which three options are given.
An alternative is Everyone, which is the default. Another option is My Contacts so that only people from your contact number can add you to the WhatsApp group. If you want to customize it further, the third option for this is my contact except…. On selecting this, you can select the numbers by which you do not want to join a WhatsApp group. This way you can keep your privacy and avoid messages without reason.
