An official who stole millions of rubles from the state was convicted in Tyumen

In Tyumen, a sentence was passed against an official of one of the departments of the regional Federal Property Management Agency for embezzling funds from the state in the amount of more than 17 million rubles. This was reported by the regional prosecutor’s office. The official entered into a conspiracy with the head of the commercial company Agrorent.

“The Kalininsky District Court of Tyumen issued a verdict against a former official of the MTU of the Federal Property Management Agency in the Tyumen Region, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. He was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4 art. and part 4 art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud and attempted fraud),” the message says. The amount of damage to the state amounted to more than 17 million rubles.

The court sentenced the officials to two and a half years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security penal colony.

The official, in collusion with the management of Agrorent, entered into a lease agreement for a land plot owned by the state. Then the members of the criminal group submitted false information to Rosreestr and Rosimushchestvo, which made it possible to purchase land without bidding at cadastral value. The schemers divided the resulting land into plots and sold them to those wishing to build private houses on them.
