An experiment on the online sale of prescription drugs was launched in three regions of the Russian Federation

In Moscow, the Moscow region and the Belgorod region, an experiment has been conducted on the remote sale of prescription drugs since March 1. You can order hundreds of medicines online, except for especially “heavy” and dangerous ones, reports RIA “FederalPress”.

According to the agency, it will not be possible to buy preferential medicines on the Internet, which patients receive free of charge or at a discount. The experiment itself in three regions will last three years. Pharmacies will control the process of formation and delivery of drug orders.

In total, the list contains 904 names of drugs available for purchase online. Among them are antibiotics, antiviral, antitumor, antifungal, anti-tuberculosis and contraceptives. There are medicines to treat asthma, diabetes and other diseases.

But not included in the list, for example, drugs with narcotic and poisonous substances, immunobiological drugs, as well as antidepressants, anxiolytics, sleeping pills and drugs for abortion.

Previously, pharmacies will work with electronic prescriptions. They must have their own website or an agreement with the marketplace, as well as a courier service and conditions for storing prescription drugs.
